These European made magnetic clasps have super strong magnets with some addition of little twists needed to open them making them ultra secure.
The actual walls of these clasps are fairly thick giving them a rugged feel. Most of these clasp designs are unisex.
These clasps are made in Spain or in Greece with Zamak alloys. This zinc alloy is lead-free, cadmium- free and nickel-free, so it considered hypoallergenic.
They have large openings on each end with an inside diameter of 10 mm by 7 mm and a depth of 5 mm or more for the gluein portion.
Use a 2-part epoxy to glue the cords in. Prepare your ends first as outlined in Page 1 of Findings and make sure the ends fit into the clasp prior to doing your final glueing.
Zamak stands for Zinc, Aluminum, Magnesium and Kupfer (the german name for Copper). Most Zamzak alloys have 93-95% Zinc, and are very corrosive resistant.
