This 100% nylon ribbon shimmers and shines and reacts to light. Some of the colors are fairly solid, others are more variegated, most tone on tone or with variations of tones. This ribbon is perfect for kumihimo.
This ribbon has a knitted tube structure and flattens to a 4 mm wide ribbon and makes a 6 mm in diameter 8 strand round braid. This ribbon can be combined with other braiding materials, braided as is, or with beads. Beads can be added directly onto the ribbon as it collapses onto itself making it possible to insert beads right onto it with a tapestry needle. The beads need to have soft edges such as high quality Japanese glass beads and holes large enough to accommodate the ribbon and needle. Miyuki Size 5 & 6, Long Magatamas can be added using a tapestry needles. 4mm Magatamas can be added using a pull along method with C-Lon Micro Cord.

Solid Colors & Color Variations | Hand Dyed in USA
Yields ~ 1.5 yard for each strand for an 8 strand kumihimo round braid approximately 6mm in diameter.
Hand wash separately in cold water - Some dye may release in the first wash. Washing prior to use is recommended for the vibrant and rich colors as there may be color transfer. Wash with mild detergent. Lay flat to dry. Each skein is uniquely dyed. Colors with less than 7 cards available or less are marked. Most cards have 12 yards of ribbon, however some with marked space dyed patterns are measured by repeats or skein turns instead of yards, so they have more than 12 yd, closer to 14 yd on each card. The 9 repeat cards give the option of starting an 8 strand braid where ever around the skein. This ribbon make also beautiful 7-stand kumihimo braids. Check this post for the method.
