Just in: GM Gunmetal - 3rd color in second row. > C-Lon Bead Cord
Why is this color important? Grays are tricky, they can be fairly neutrals, or slightly blueish, greenish, purplish... And it makes a lot of difference in the final look of a piece. As to depth of color GR and GM are similar, but when GR Grey is a bit too blue, consider GM as the greener, more earthy, alternative.
Yay, I just send all the backorders of this color... I even gave away my partially used spools to desperate designers...

July 25 - New Metallic Thread
Filato Metallico from Italy
Very shinny soft polyester fibers combined with a thin metallic thread twisted around them.
This metallic thread behaves and feels like a thread, not like a metallic cord or wire. Use Filato Metallico in strands as a blending element for kumihimo. The cord diameter is a bit thinner than C-Lon Micro Cord.

July 25 - New Metallic Cords
More choices in metallic cord are always great. The braided new cords add more color and sizes. The twisted cords are new. All of the cords can be melted and cut with a thread burner.

July 6 - New Ultra Soft Satin Cord
These new ultra soft nylon satin cords are woven with multiple thin nylon cords without an inner cord or core, making them very flexible. They are incredibly soft to the touch yet very strong.
They are currently available only in soft black. As they are made out of nylon, they can be cut and melted with a thread burner making them a great choice for any uses where the cords ends need to be melted.
These new cords will make great pendants and medallion cords, or used them as center cores for braids and kumihimo projects, or use them singly or in multiples of 3 or more as centers for tubular bead crochet ropes.
They come in 3 diameters; 1.1 mm, 1.8 mm , and 2.5 mm. In black only for now.

July 1 - New Updated Tutorial
This tutorial was one of my first tutorial and it just got a complete update.
It is now an 8 page PDF tutorial available online with over 15 large diagrams and photos making this project easy.
You do not even need to print it, you can look at it on your computer or your iPad.
Two knots are used for this project, the square knot and the overhand knot. Instructions on how how to tie these knots are included in the tutorial.
Check the bead and cord kits available for this project. The kits include Swarovski Crystal Beads,
and some include Swarovski Beadelle Pave Beads while they last. The Beadelle Pave Beads have been out of production now for several years, but I still have some on hand.

June 4 - More about videos - Last night I added close caption subtitles in English (click cc), and French (pour ceux qui ne comprennent pas l'anglais ... cliquez sur cc, puis sur le petit symbole comme une vis à droite, puis sur sous-titres / cc, puis sur French). I plan to add cc subtitles in English and French for all my future videos. Also for anyone who has a hard time hearing my voice over the music background, I uploaded a version of the Turkish Flat Bead Crochet Video called Take 2 - with no music. Kumihimo Copper River Bracelet
Occasionally a specific bead, a cord, yarn, ribbon or something else used in a kit is no longer available. Then the kit needs to be shelved or it needs to be remade with new material available.

Turn the Lacis crochet hooks handles into comfortable cushioned handles.
I really like the Lacis crochet hooks because you can use a smaller hook than other brands for the same cord size. The actual hook ends have small heads and large indentations for the cord to slide through. This profile, thin head but hook that can handle larger cords without snagging them makes this crochet brand my favorite for tubular bead crochet and bead crochet. But the handles are very thin and really need cushioning.

Living Coral is definitively bright, lively, vibrant yet mellow at the same time. And yes it matches C-Lon Chinese Coral. To lighten it up, add a bit of Pink Lemonade (PL) to the mix. Darken it and make it unforgettable with Poinsetta. Add a bit of Sea Shell or Peach Glow for the bright edges and you capture the coral and clown fish perfectly.
